Dina Colman, MA, MBA, founded Four Quadrant Living to nudge people to create health in their lives and to have fun in the process. Healthy living does not have to be expensive, time-consuming, or difficult. A key part of health is pleasure, so it doesn't do us any good if we take the fun out of being healthy. The great news is that we have the power to manage our health. We choose the foods we eat, the products we use, the exercise we get, the stress we allow, and the people we surround ourselves with.
The traditional health model focuses primarily on the Body quadrant, where health is equated with being free of symptoms and disease. This is a limiting view of health. We take medications to hide the symptoms, but we don't get to the root of the problem. The other quadrants are virtually ignored as a source of health in the traditional model. All four of the quadrants—Mind, Body, Relationships, and Environment—play an essential role in our health and wellness. Read here for more information about the philosophy and foundation of the four quadrant model.
